Karnataka coalition experiment...

The renunciation will also send unmistakable signals to the Muslim community in India about the party. After the Ayodhya debacle, Muslims in India had lost faith in the party’s ability to look after their interests. This one act can do wonders for reviving Muslim confidence in the party. In any case, the Karnataka coalition experiment where the Congress runs a government with the Janata Dal (Secular) shows that getting the Chief Minister’s post is not enough to decide who calls the shots.
